What I Offer

As a Peer Support Specialist, I'm your guide, mentor and supporter as you embark on meaningful change.

What is Peer Support?

“Peer support is based on the belief that people
who have faced, endured and overcome adversity
can offer useful support, encouragement, hope
and mentorship to others facing similar
situations.”
DAVIDSON, CHINMAN, SELLS, & ROWE, 2006, P. 443

As I began my journey, I experienced first-hand how sharing my story helped release the enormous shame & guilt I had carried for so long. In my training as peer facilitator and early work with Abuse Hurts Canada, I witnessed how changing the story people tell themselves helped them change their life.

Uncover your motivations and learn how to harness your values to achieve future goals.

But don't I need a therapist?

If you're having a tough time coping, then a therapist is often your best bet. A safe place to make sense of the story and sort out what's happening in your mind. Therapy can be a very necessary step.

There comes a time when telling yourself the same story starts to hold you back. There’s that saying – "the habits you created to survive will no longer serve you when it’s time to thrive."

As a person with lived experience, I have walked a similar path and offer greater levels of self‐efficacy, empowerment, and engagement. I work with the conscious, and unconscious levels, integrating into the cells of the body too.

Uncover your motivations and learn how to harness your values to achieve future goals.

How it works

What is a Personal Narrative?

The impact of past events continue to live inside you today.

Creating a personal narrative will shine a light on your decisions, identity and meaning.

Personal narratives illuminate the past, present, and future - lighting up the paths of change.

  • You’ve been holding on for years, or even decades.

  • You thought you would always feel this way.

  • You thought this was the best life could be.

  • You’ve built a successful life, but it feels like you’re holding on by a thread.

  • Loving yourself is a far-off concept.

  • Want something more.

With me as your coach, we’ll  build you a foundation from which to gently turn any open wounds into scars. We’ll work together to integrate the story you’ve been telling yourself into a part of your life, not the whole of your life.

Most importantly, you’ll let go of all that was holding you back, moving past your past, and into your bright future.

Thoughts of staying at work because there's less judgement crossed my mind more than it should.

I knew things are beginning to slide, but had no idea where to start or what to do.

What would happen if you looked at your story and wrote it from another person’s point of view?

What if your negative inner critic has been lying to you? What if you really are that good?

How would you view your own story from a different and wider perspective?

What would it be like to break free of self-limiting beliefs and get support to become the person you want to be?
